Since 2009 tallowing Leewood to return to nature and become an important wildlife corridor has become a priority. Limiting our grazing animals has allowed our ancient woodland pastures to begin to naturally regenerate. We have species rich meadows, flourishing insect populations, a range of small mammles, birds and larger mammles.
Leewood is a 30 acre smallholding of broadleaf woodland and woodland pasture with almost a mile stretch of the River Walkham. Now with the addition of some selected species we hope to further unlock the seed bank and allow nature to flourish.
Rare plants can be seen such as Orchids & Ragged Robin and we produce our own honey .
